Edward Pianim is a legal and investment Consultant, Barrister, Solicitor and Notary Public. He obtained his LLB from University of Ghana in Legon. He was called to the Ghana Bar in 1972 and obtained his Solicitor’s License in 1973. Barrister Pianim was first employed in Gold Coast and Ghana Civil Service for twenty-one (21) years where he worked in different capacities. He rose through the ranks and was at a point the Acting Clerk of Parliament. He was at various times the Legal Advisor to Banque Sahelo-Saharienne PourL’Investissement et Commerce S.A. Lybia, Enterprise Life Assurance Company, African Life of South Africa, the International Finance Corporation and WPA Consortium, He was a Resource Person in the formation of A LIFE of South Africa and International Finance Corporation(IFC) in the year 2000 and was also a Resource Person engaged by the UNDP to establish a corporate body to manage the funds of the Poverty Reduction Project by the UNDP, African Development Bank, the World Bank and the Government of Ghana. Barrister Pianim was also the Legal Consultant for the establishment of Standard Trust Bank Ghana, (now UBA Ghana) he also acted as Legal Consultant at different times to the World Bank and the Commonwealth Development Corporation. He has worked with Merchant Bank of Ghana as Solicitor Secretary and was the Managing Director of Management and Investment Consultants Limited during 16 period 1994 to 2006.
